Ingredients
- 1/4 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
- 1/2 cup organic cane sugar
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup ice water
- 1/3 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
- 2 tbsp organic cane sugar
- 3 oz Coconut-Vanilla Simple Syrup
- 3 oz coffee liquor (e.g., Kahlua)
- 1.50 oz vodka
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- In a small frying pan, combine coconut, sugar, vanilla, and water. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 5 minutes. Let it cool, then strain and discard the coconut flakes.
- Toast the coconut flakes in a frying pan until caramelized, then mix with sugar.
- Moisten the rim of the glass and coat it with the toasted coconut mixture.
- In the glass, combine vodka, coffee liquor, and Coconut-Vanilla Simple Syrup, then add the heavy cream. Stir well and serve. Optional: serve over ice.
