Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 1/2 oz silver tequila
  • 3/4 oz Triple Sec
  • 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 oz fresh orange juice
  • 3 tablespoons tamarind concentrate
  • Kosher salt and ancho chile powder
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, heat sugar and water until the sugar dissolves to create simple syrup; let it cool.
  2. In a shaker, combine tequila, Triple Sec, lemon juice, lime juice, orange juice, and tamarind concentrate.
  3. Stir in the cooled simple syrup and fill the shaker with ice; shake well.
  4. Rub the rim of a glass with a lime wedge, then dip it into a mixture of salt and ancho chile powder.
  5. Fill the glass with ice and strain the margarita from the shaker into the glass.
