Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot water
  • 2 oz. Plymouth or Citadelle gin
  • 1 oz. fresh lime juice
  • 3/4 oz. Giffard Abricot du Roussillon liqueur
  • 1/2 oz. Blume Marillen apricot eau-de-vie
  • 3 dashes Peychaud's bitters
  • 1 kumquat (optional), halved

Instructions

  1. Dissolve sugar in hot water in a cocktail shaker.
  2. Fill the shaker with ice.
  3. Add gin, fresh lime juice, apricot liqueur, apricot eau-de-vie, and Peychaud's bitters to the shaker.
  4. Cover the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until chilled.
  5. Place the halved kumquat in a chilled coupe glass.
  6. Strain the cocktail into the glass.
