Ingredients
- 1.70 oz Meantime chocolate porter
- 1.20 oz dark rum
- 0.50 oz sugar syrup
- 1 egg
- Grated nutmeg for serving
Instructions
- For cold serving, combine the chocolate porter, dark rum, sugar syrup, and egg in a shaker, and shake vigorously without ice to aerate the egg.
- Add ice to the shaker, and shake hard for 10-15 seconds.
- Strain the mixture into a glass with a few ice cubes, if desired, and top with grated nutmeg.
- For hot serving, gently heat the chocolate porter, dark rum, sugar syrup, and egg in a pan, whisking until warmed through, being careful not to overheat and scramble the egg.
- Pour the hot mixture into a glass and sprinkle grated nutmeg on top.
