Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup thick plain yogurt
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin (coarsely crushed)
  • 3 large mint leaves
  • 2-3 sprigs of cilantro leaves
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of sugar
  • 1/2-inch fresh ginger, peeled and roughly chopped
  • 1/2 green chili, slit in half and seeds removed

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine the yogurt, water, roasted cumin, mint leaves, cilantro leaves, ginger, salt, and sugar.
  2. Blend until smooth, and strain if a smoother texture is desired.
  3. Add the green chili to infuse the mixture in a jar. For a spicier drink, blend the green chili with the other ingredients.
  4. Enjoy cold with a few ice cubes.
