Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup plain thick yogurt
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin (crushed coarsely)
  • 3 large mint leaves
  • 2-3 sprigs of cilantro leaves
  • Pinch of salt and sugar to taste
  • 1/2-inch fresh ginger, peeled and roughly chopped
  • 1 green chili, slit in half and seeds removed

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine the yogurt, water, roasted cumin, mint leaves, cilantro leaves, ginger, salt, and sugar.
  2. Blend the ingredients until smooth.
  3. Strain the mixture for a smoother texture if desired.
  4. Add the green chili to the jar to infuse the spiced yogurt drink.
  5. If you prefer a spicier drink, blend the green chili along with the other ingredients.
  6. Serve cold with a few ice cubes.
