Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup hot water
- 1 stick cinnamon
- 6 cloves
- 2 oz whiskey or bourbon
- 4 teaspoons smoked simple syrup
- 2-3 dashes Black Walnut bitters
- Tiny pinch of fleur de sel or flake salt
Instructions
- Make the simple syrup by whisking sugar and hot water until the sugar dissolves, then adding cinnamon and cloves and placing the mixture into a shallow baking dish in a preheated smoker for two hours.
- Remove the smoked simple syrup from the smoker, let it cool, and store it in a jar.
