Luck of the Irish Whiskey Coffee
A classic Irish Coffee with Jameson Irish whiskey, warm coffee, sugar, and a layer of lightly whipped cream.
Ingredients
- 2 oz Jameson Irish whiskey
- 2 tsp demerara or brown sugar
- 6 oz freshly brewed hot coffee
- 2 tbsp lightly whipped heavy cream
Instructions
- Warm a stemmed glass coffee mug using boiling water, then discard the water.
- Pour the Jameson Irish whiskey into the warmed glass.
- Add the demerara or brown sugar.
- Pour the hot coffee into the glass, leaving an inch from the rim.
- Stir until the sugar has dissolved.
- Gently pour the whipped cream over the back of a spoon to float it on top of the coffee.
- Optionally garnish with a vanilla pod, cinnamon stick, or a grating of fresh nutmeg.
- Serve the coffee on a plate with no spoon, and sip it through the layer of cream.
