Ingredients
- 1 tsp instant coffee granules
- 1/8 inch fresh ginger, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 inch cinnamon stick
- 5 whole cloves
- 1 1/4 cups boiling water
- 2 tbsp sweetened condensed milk
- Crushed ice
- 2 tbsp Kahlua liqueur (optional)
Instructions
- In a heatproof jug, combine the instant coffee, ginger, cinnamon stick, cloves, and boiling water.
- Allow the mixture to cool completely, then strain it through a fine sieve into a clean jug, discarding the ginger, cinnamon stick, and cloves.
- Add the sweetened condensed milk to the jug and stir well to combine.
- Fill a serving glass with crushed ice.
- Pour the coffee mixture over the ice and add Kahlua if desired.
- Stir well and serve immediately.
