Ingredients

  • 2 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 1/4 cup blackberries
  • 1/4 cup raspberries
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, soften the blackberries and raspberries with 1/2 cup of water over low to medium heat until very soft.
  2. Separate the juices and seeds using a hand food mill or a fine mesh strainer. Allow the fruit juice to cool, and discard the seeds and skins.
  3. In another saucepan, dissolve the sugar in the water to make a simple syrup.
  4. Combine the simple syrup, lemon juice, and the blackberry and raspberry puree in a pitcher.
  5. Serve the lemonade over ice and garnish with fresh mint.
