Ingredients

  • 2 ounces bourbon
  • 3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice
  • 3/4 ounce honey syrup (made with 1/2 cup honey and 1/2 cup water)

Instructions

  1. Combine 1/2 cup honey and 1/2 cup water in a bowl and warm in the microwave until the honey dissolves. Let it cool.
  2. Use a paring knife to cut a lemon twist from the peel of a fresh lemon.
  3. Juice the lemon(s).
  4. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, pour the bourbon, lemon juice, and honey syrup.
  5. Shake vigorously until chilled.
  6. Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice, garnish with the lemon twist, and serve!
