Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2-3 cloves
  • 1 star anise
  • 1 oz espresso
  • 1 1/2 oz pisco or grappa

Instructions

  1. In a small pot, combine milk, sugar, cinnamon, cloves, and star anise.
  2. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar dissolves, around 10 minutes.
  3. Add the espresso and continue heating for 1 more minute.
  4. Remove from heat, stir in the pisco or grappa, and transfer to a jar.
  5. Chill the mixture before serving.
